Organizations, regardless of market or mission, are becoming increasingly digital. Machine learning, AI, and technology advances in general are putting pressure on leaders to think, act and lead in new ways. In this session, Larry Clark and Mary Anne Amato from Harvard Business Publishing will review the general trends in leadership based on Harvard’s research, and explore the Digital Mindset leaders need to carry to drive the transformation of their organizations.

Larry Clark is managing director of global learning solutions at Harvard Business Publishing Corporate Learning. He leads the team of learning solutions managers around the world who partner with clients to design and develop learning experiences unique to each organization’s needs. 

Larry’s background includes more than 25 years of experience in learning design, organizational development and talent management. Prior to joining Harvard Business Publishing, he served as vice president of Comcast University’s Talent & Professional Development College, where he oversaw all leadership, high-potential and executive development, as well as learning and development for all enterprise functions across the organization. 

Prior to joining Comcast, Larry spent 12 years in learning, talent and operational roles at Microsoft, and began his career in the learning and talent profession working as a learning and management consultant for companies including Learning International and Zenger Miller. 


Mary Anne Amato is director of global organizational effectiveness for Corporate Learning at Harvard Business Publishing. In this role, she is responsible for talent management, knowledge management, professional development and enablement for Corporate Learning’s global field organization. Prior to taking this role, Mary Anne designed world-class leadership development programs with HBP’s clients, driving organizational impact with a focus on measurement.  

Prior to joining HBP, Mary Anne was the Managing Director of Research for Strategic Management. She has over 25 years of experience consulting with global organizations on talent management, management & leadership development, performance management, succession planning, assessment, and selection.  

Mary Anne serves on the Board of Directors for the Lawrence Woodmere Academy.

She received her master’s Degree and Doctoral training in Industrial / Organizational Psychology from New York University.
