These offerings enable clients/students to advance in their careers, and help our employers advance their employees’ skills. In this webinar, you will learn about • apprenticeships across industry sectors (they are not just for the trades!) • how your clients/students can be served with apprenticeships (they can earn an industry credential!) • how clients/students can reskill and upskill using the Public Workforce System, PA Careerlink® • the wide variety of services from paid work to internships and career cruising for youth participants PRESENTERS Doran Condon has been involved in Workforce Development for over 21 years, guiding Youth, Adult and Dislocated Worker programs. As Director of Workforce Initiatives at the PA Workforce Development Association, he develops and provides professional training to local workforce development boards, while continuing proactive advocacy efforts on behalf of the workforce development system. Doran also volunteers for the Cumberland County Youth Aid Panel. He earned a BS from Penn State Univ. John Tkatch, Executive Director, Keystone Development Partnership (KDP), has managed PA Industry Partnership workforce development projects since 2005. John is currently working on projects with the PA Apprenticeship & Training Office and the US Department of Labor’s Office of Apprenticeship to promote the acceleration and expansion of Registered Apprenticeship programs. KDP provides technical assistance to employers, unions, and other organizations to develop, register, and implement registered apprenticeship programs. KDP develops and manages workforce programs that help ensure businesses have the talent they need by bringing together employers, unions, training providers, industry associations, community-based organizations and public agencies to collaborate on initiatives that strengthen communities. Eligible for 1.5 NCDA CEUs.
