Healthcare has gradually begun the evolution from treating sick people to keeping people well. With this important shift, healthcare professionals must retool for the future.

This program will discuss the current societal landscape, including health behaviors of millennials, and how these changes in the industry will affect jobseekers.

Michele Szkolnicki, RN, FACHE, CMPE
Chief Operating Officer

Michele Szkolnicki is an accomplished Healthcare Executive with more than 25 years of healthcare leadership experience that spans for-profit, not-for-profit, private equity, and academic settings in hospital, ambulatory and medical practice environments in both adult and pediatric medicine. Michele’s leadership style is differentiated by her exceptional talent management and mentorship and by her ability to inspire and motivate executives, teams and individuals around a shared vision. 

Michele is currently the Chief Operating Officer of the Crozer Keystone Health Access Network. Prior to joining Crozer, she worked for Tenet Healthcare - Philadelphia in COO and CEO roles, and held several healthcare leadership roles including: Senior Vice President of Patient Care Services for a cancer center in Philadelphia, Chief Operating Officer for Drexel University Physicians, and several Director roles with the University of Pennsylvania Health System. She launched her career with roles in clinical research and direct patient care.

Her education includes a Bachelor in Nursing degree from Neumann College and a Master in Education degree from St. Joseph’s University. Michele serves on several advisory committees, including the Strayer University Pennsylvania Education Program Advisory Board and the Neumann University Development Committee of the Board of Trustees. Michele is board-certified as a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE), and is a Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) with the Medical Group Management Association.  Michele has served as a volunteer faculty member with Drexel University’s Executive Leadership in Academic medicine (ELAM) for the past 6 years and was named one of the Philadelphia Business Journal’s 2011 Healthcare Innovation Awards recipients, receiving the Nurse Administrator of the Year award.

Michele recently launched a blog: healthleaderlab.com; a site for healthcare leadership to exchange and discuss ideas with the goal of enriching all involved in the conversation.

Michele was born, raised, and currently lives in Southeastern Pennsylvania with her husband of 31 years, 2 daughters and a son.
