A Discussion of Type and COVID-19

July 28, 2020 at 7 - 9 pm, Virtual Event

Abby S. McGillivray MSW, LCSW, BCD, RM, Psychotherapist and

MBTI Practitioner of Step I, I and III

Abby will lead us through a brief summary of MBTI preferences and their potential impacts on one’s experiences through the current Pandemic and provide a brief explanation of “GRIP” reactions and remedies. Participants will be invited to share their experiences from the past few months in a supportive environment. Abby has been facilitating classes and groups for over 30 years. She created this program so that attendees can discuss Type concepts and help themselves, their loved ones and clients be resilient during this unique time.

1. Introductions, what you do, your type (if known) and bring an object to show or tell from your home or office that represents your experience during the pandemic.

2. Abby will do a brief talk on the 4 mental functions (observations about how E/I, S/N, T/F and J/P aspects may effect our experience of the pandemic), including a brief discussion of GRIP reaction as a concept.

3. Attendees can share challenges/strategies/positives during this time. People can use MBTI terms/observations if able to and want to - otherwise just share. Time for comments if needed.
