Re-Entry & Justice:

How Career Coaches Can Empower Returning Citizens

Tuesday, September 28, 2021

12:00 - 2:00 pm

Returning citizens (people returning to the community after being in prison) face enormous challenges when seeking employment. Research has shown that landing a job as soon as possible after being released from incarceration is one of the keys to avoiding recidivism. Join us as we hear from two experts on how best to support and encourage our returning citizen clients.

Jeffrey Abramowitz will provide attendees with the opportunity to wear a new pair of glasses and see the world through the eyes of a convicted felon, teacher, administrator, and executive. Michael Robinson will inform attendees on how Career Coaches can provide the workforce guidance, professional instruction, access to connections, and strategies for tapping into the hidden job market.
