Let's Connect the Dots: Work & Life Recovery During Crisis Times

Everywhere you turn these days there seems to be an anxiety and panic. People are losing friends and family, a mass exodus from the workforce is occurring and counselors are overwhelmed. 

How do you create hope during crisis that vex professionals into a silence? The sheer magnitude of the global landscape is causing professionals to search for innovative approaches in the helping professions. 

This presentation will conduct an engaging discussion regarding hope and how to create and implement hope into the work professionals already do.

Snyder's Hope theory and paradigm is one that decreases anxiety and scaffolds emotions and psychological thought processes. It offers positive messaging and framework in which to rebuild and recover.

This presentation applies to all that empathize with this glove through their professional roles in order to provide hope to this changing world.  

• Participants will be able to define crisis, trauma, and recovery.
• Participants will be able to understand identification as a means of creating hope.
• Participants will be able to discuss Snyder's Hope theory and utilize his book in order to implement strategies into work and life relationships.

MEET YOUR PRESENTER:

Dr. Sujata Ives is a brain scientist and cognitive psychologist who counsels diverse populations through work and life stages. She wants you to connect the dots! Dr. Ives is Chief Global Officer for the Center for Global Alliance & Leadership Expansion where she presents to global audiences. Her most recent publication can be found in the Human Resources community in the Society for Human Resource Management magazine.
