This presentation will include Kathryn's top recommendations for developing a resume for those seeking Federal employment. Kathryn has appeared online, in print, and on radio and television to answer questions about Federal careers, resume writing, and job search techniques.

Kathryn Troutman founded the leading Federal resume writing and career consulting service in the country: Resume Place, Inc. This firm is a government contractor and has delivered training on writing Federal Resumes and Senior Executive Service Core Qualifications to more than 40 Federal agencies per year for the past 20 years. Kathryn has remained at the forefront of the Federal job industry for 30 years by engaging in continual research and consultation with Federal hiring managers. An award-winning author, she wrote the first-ever book on Federal resume writing: Federal Resume Guidebook (now in its 7th edition) and several other books to support individuals seeking Federal employment, including students, former military and their spouses, and senior executives transitioning to the Federal sector.
Kathryn has assisted thousands of people with getting hired and promoted in government. She’s the creator of Ten Steps to a Federal Job®, a licensed curriculum that is the basis for global training programs that are delivered to career transition counselors at 250 military bases worldwide, universities, veterans’ organizations, and private industry. Counselors from around the world attend her three day programs to become Certified Federal Job Search Trainers® / Certified Federal Career Coaches®.
Kathryn is a Certified Federal Resume Writer®, Certified Federal Career Coach®, a CCE-certified Global Career Development Facilitator, an NCDA-Certified Career Services Provider, and an NCDA Facilitating Career Development Instructor.

PACDA and PSCA members: After the event, complete the post-event survey, then email ceu@thepacda.org to obtain your certificate of attendance, which you can then submit via the PSCA website.
Not a PACDA or PSCA member?: You may be able to obtain Act 48 credit. After the event, complete the post-event survey, then email ceu@thepacda.org to obtain your certificate of attendance. Submit this to the Pennsylvania Department of Education via your local education agency, which will have the final say on whether this program qualifies for Act 48 credit. Or, you may submit via the Pennsylvania School Counselor Association for $10.
