No charge!

Join us for a lunchtime webinar with guest author, Gilbert Coble, where we'll discuss his book, "Culturally Relevant Financial Literacy: A Guide For Educators."

Throughout Gil's career his greatest joy has come from teaching others. Whether training new IRS employees in basic income tax law, doing on-the-job training, or guiding clients through the ins and outs of creating a business, he has always had the ability to change complex ideas into simple solutions. His past experiences then led to teaching business skills and financial literacy to children and young adults in a primary or secondary school setting to prepare them to be the next leaders.

While there is no doubt that financial literacy for children is important, how it is taught is just as important, and efforts can fail if not taught in a way that children of all backgrounds can relate to the material and concepts being taught. How do you teach a child the importance of banking if they live in an area where there are no banks, or where banks are not used or trusted? "Culturally Relevant Financial Literacy" introduces the why of culturally relevant financial literacy and also gives insight as to how to make the subject relatable to all children, or even a diverse array of adults.
