Employers and recruiters now focus on skills-based hiring to optimize fit for job candidates. And individuals focus on upskilling to make themselves competitive for internal advancement as well as job search.

This session will share perspective from Coursera and LinkedIn representatives as well as information gleaned from interviews with Udemy and other organizations to help upskill career professionals and inform the advice provided to students and clients.

Eric Ablett, Campus Advisor at Coursera, holds a BS from Syracuse University in Communications and an MBA from University of Illinois. He has more than 13 years of experience in EdTech. At Coursera, he focuses on connecting organizations and institutions with transformative solutions to enable learners to pursue success in the workforce. LinkedIn

Richelle Weiger, Instructional Designer at Penn State University, holds a bachelor's degree in social work from Elizabethtown College and a Master of Education in Learning, Design, and Technology from Penn State.
